"Over the years I have found that for the necessary collaborative endeavor that is required between actor, writer and director in theater and film there is often miscommunication between the artists. I have learned that for the most part actors, writers and directors do not understand how the other thinks, how the other creates.
Why is this? They share a common experience together, a play or film, and they understand a great deal about how they do what they do but not as much about how others do what they do."-Mark Kemble
The workshop encouraged a common language between the three creative groups. Actors were encouraged to write, writers were encouraged to direct, and directors to act. The workshop also provided opportunities for developing creative work which evolved into something that merits production.
Actors, writers and directors put up any work up in the workshop. Scenes from plays, movies, and from their own writing. Actors weren’t required to have a director to do scenes in the workshop.
